10,000 miles behind, 4,000 more to go....
The riding trio of Brian, Mike and Tom covered some beautiful ground yesterday (Tuesday, August 16th) as they travelled through Tennessee to Check Point #11 in Murfreesboro. The beautiful Blue Ridge Parkway lead to the 318 turns of the Tail of the Dragon around 2:00 PM.
They arrived at the check point around 7:00 PM and forged on into the night. The guys rode through Alabama and into Mississippi where they got a few hours of sleep.
The official state count is now 31.
And what's in store for today is... More Riding!!!!!!
The next Check Point is in Rocky Mount, North Carolina which is 2000 mile away! Obviously they will not be travelling as the crow flies, instead, first they will cover (Arkansas?), Louisiana, Florida, Georgia and South Carolina. Along the way they travel the Natchez Trace Parkway, through Louisiana Bayou Country and Bourbon Street (Brian stay on the bike... keep riding), Coastal Louisiana to Mobile, Al, Pensacola, Coastal Florida, Southern Georgia and South Carolina.
